/who-is

/smart-take is led by Cole Wiley, principal at Crescent Wrench Studio in New Orleans. Cole is a multidisciplinary creative technologist and artist whose work spans:

• Software engineering (Python, C++, React Native, GPU, embedded systems)
• Creative AI and computer vision
• Fabrication, robotics, and 3D printing
• Product design and early-stage startup leadership

Before launching /smart-take, Cole served as Head of Product at RIOS (an agentic robotics company), co-founded Scandy (a iPhone 3D scanning company), and received an MFA in digital art (from Tulane).

He has built everything from painting robots to generative design tools to miter stations.
